A salted duck egg is a Chinese preserved food product made by soaking duck eggs in brine, or packing each egg in damp, salted charcoal.

It has a gelatin like egg white and a perfect round yolk with a salty taste.



Salted duck egg can be eaten without further preparation other than peeling and rinsing them. It can be served with any food as a side or flavoring.
